Krishna Riding Garuda Bird God - Hindu Deity Sculptures

 Download JPG image

One of the very kitch Hindu God sculptures at the ISKCON (Hare Krishna) Ashram at Kumbh Mela 2013.

The bird is Garuda, and he's carrying Krishna in His four-handed (Vishnu) form.

Those metal sculptures were mechanically animated, like low-tech animatronics.

Photo taken at the Kumbh Mela 2013 festival near Allahabad (India)

Kumbh Mela is the largest festival on Earth, taking place once every 12 years, with more than 50 million Hindu pilgrims gathering to pray and bathe in the holy Ganges river.
