The green bars she is holding is the back of a cycle rickshaw. I took this photo in Old Delhi, as i found the color contrast striking.
Mehndi is traditionally done during weddings. It is applied by women, and done mostly on women's hands and arms.

It gives an idea of the organized chaos in the bazaars of the old city.

The highlight if this trip was the Maha Kumba Mela Hindu Festival, the largest human gathering on earth, which happens once every 12 years.
Other regions visited include the springs of the Ganges river, Varanasi, the Konark sun temple.
