The green bars she is holding is the back of a cycle rickshaw.­ I took this photo in Old Delhi, as i found the color contrast striking.­

Mehndi is traditionally done during weddings.­ It is applied by women, and done mostly on women's hands and arms.­

It gives an idea of the organized chaos in the bazaars of the old city.­

The highlight if this trip was the Maha Kumba Mela Hindu Festival, the largest human gathering on earth, which happens once every 12 years.­

Other regions visited include the springs of the Ganges river, Varanasi, the Konark sun temple.­
