hindu funeral - corpse of the dead washed before cremation (nepal)

During a Hindu funeral, the corpse of the deceased is washed in the Bagmati River near the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu (Nepal)

The corpse will then be cremated in a funeral pyre along the Ghats, in the Hindu tradition.

This was at dawn, during the Shivaratri festival ('Great Night of Shiva').
