sheep balls (india)

I took this photo at a cattle market I stumbled upon on the road in West Bengal (India).

All the local farmers were there to buy and sell livestock (often young animals).

When you buy a male, it is important to check that the animal testicles are well formed. The farmer was showing me that his male sheep had really good balls!

The highlight if this trip was the Maha Kumba Mela Hindu Festival, the largest human gathering on earth, which happens once every 12 years.

Other regions visited include the springs of the Ganges river, Varanasi, the Konark sun temple.

See also my photos of Nepal that I took the same year.

Photos taken in India and other Asian countries.

Some photos were taken at the bull market of Meo-Vac, a tribal region in the North of Vietnam.

Most photos were taken at a small cattle market I stumbled upon on the road near Mahashunda village in West Bengal (India). All the local farmers were there to buy and sell livestock (often young animals). Most farmers were Indian Muslims.
