Construction site of the Vishnu-Prayag Hydro Power Project power station in the Alaknanda valley, near Joshimath, in the Indian Himalayas.

In the center top of the photo, you can see the tunnel adit that will bring the pressurized water to the power house. The dam is a few kilometers upstream, near Joshimath.

The Alaknanda river is one of the headstreams of the Ganges river.
