Motorized tricycles are the main local public transportation in rural Philippines.­

Tricycles are made of a small motorbike with a sidecar.­ Both the motorcycle and sidecar are covered by a roof to protect from the heavy rain during monsoon season.­ They act like shared taxis, and 7 to 9 passengers can squeeze on a tricycle.­ They are painted and decorated with bright colors, like Jeepneys,
