Jeepneys are the main public transportation in the Philippines.­ They are like municipal bus lines, but they are privately owned.­ Each jeepney deserves a particular destination, and passengers can hop on and off along their route route.­

Jeepneys are also used for long-distance, inter-city lines.­ They are often overcrowded and less comfortable than big buses, but they are much cheaper, too.­
