Crank-operated Soda machine - Pushkar (India)
I had never seen a soda-making machine like that before, but they are very popular all around India. Pressurized CO2 is injected into the bottles to make soda on the spot. The glass bottles have a unique system with a small glass ball inside the bottle (near the neck) that locks the pressure, with no need to have a cap. Pushing the glass ball inside releases the pressure. They recycle and reuse the bottles immediately (after washing them), so this produces no trash. It is much better than soda cans for the environment.
