Water reservoir - Mandu (India)

At this season the reservoir is almost dry, but the muddy water is still used by local villagers to do laundry and take baths.

It appears that this place had also been used as a stone quarry.

The ruined city of Mandu used to be one of the largest and richest cities in India between the 11th and the 15th century.

A number of ruined palaces, mosques and muslim tombs are still standing or are being restored (unfortunately, some are being rebuilt, in a misguided effort by the Indian Ministry of Culture to preserve them).
