Wax sculpture of San Severo (apparently dead or dying) - San Francisco Church (Salta, Argentina)

I'm not sure exactly which San Severo this is representing, since there seems to be several saints with this name. This one seems to be dressed as a Roman soldier.

Statues of dead people like this one are called "recumbent".

If you have more information about Saint Severo, please email me.

This sculpture was made by Padre Luis Giorgi, 1821-1884.
