cow dung drying in a field (india)

Cow dung drying in a field. In rural India, dried cow dung is used as fuel and as building material. Cow dung is also called gober.

I saw this on an Indian website: "Anyone who has eaten chapaties (flat bread) cooked on a gober fire can testify how this fuel enhances their taste".

Photos taken in India in 2013

The highlight if this trip was the Maha Kumba Mela Hindu Festival, the largest human gathering on earth, which happens once every 12 years.

Other regions visited include the springs of the Ganges river, Varanasi, the Konark sun temple.
