Photos of Sadhus (Hindu holy men) in India.

In Hinduism, sadhu is a common term for an ascetic, practitioner of yoga (yogi) and/or wandering monks. The sadhu is solely dedicated to achieving the fourth and final Hindu goal of life, moksha (liberation), through meditation and contemplation of Brahman. Sadhus often wear ochre-colored clothing, symbolizing renunciation.

A Sadhu is usually referred to as Baba by common people. The word 'baba' means father, or uncle, in many Indian languages.

Dear David.if u dont know properly about indian rituals and belives thn u must not write this way.....you should be ashemed of yourself for such a comment................
The person who wrote the comment about sadhu's being fake is just ignorant of a culture going back thousands of years. There are some very high beings among sadhu's and there are some who can impart knowledge to sincere seekers. The Universe is not going to waste it's time on those who are not ready to be opened to the Truth. Most westerner's are just living on the surface of themselves in a culture that is only aware of the material, not the Universe of the Spirit. But don't fret, it is available to everyone.... just start looking; seek and ye shall find.
the costumes are unique
ALL ARE FAKE AND PUNK.Hindus in India are believe in fake and black magic.None of them are holy men.
