LOVE, by Alexandr Milov, from Odessa, Ukraine.

Here’s what Milov wrote about the piece on the festival’s website: It demonstrates a conflict between a man and a woman as well as the outer and inner expression of human nature. Their inner selves are executed in the form of transparent children, who are holding out their hands through the grating. As it’s getting dark (night falls) the children start to shine. This shining is a symbol of purity and sincerity that brings people together and gives a chance of making up when the dark time arrives.

It is the first time that a Ukrainian artist received a Burning Man grant to create his art.

Nice sculpture, but I was quite disappointed that the artist put a sign "Dangerous - Do not climb". Obviously the frame of this structure was very sturdy and well constructed with solid metal tubes, so there was little risk of damaging it by a few people climbing over it.

Climbing art installations is a big part of interacting with the art at Burning Man, and the artists are not responsible if people fall or get hurt when climbing over their pieces.

So, please, if you build art for Burning Man, build it strong enough so that people can climb your art! And do not discourage them from climbing.
