converted japanese car (bolivia)

converted japanese car (bolivia), ania, bolivia, converted, driver, driving, inside, interior, japanese car, left hand drive, lhd, rhd, right hand drive, steering wheel, sucre, taxi cab

In Bolivia, most cars are used cars imported from Japan. But in Japan, the steering wheel is on the right side (since they drive on the left side of the road), so local Bolivian mechanics convert the cars by moving the steering wheel and pedals to the left side. They leave the speedometer and the rest of the dashboard on the right side, hardly visible by the driver. This is perfectly legal (but only in Bolivia!).
