Darcha - Manali to Leh road (India)

Location: Himachal Pradesh, India -
Darcha is situated on a link to once very famous Silk Route of central Asia. Now Darcha is strategically located on border road that connects Leh, Kargil (J&K) Manali(HP). At the moment Darcha is famouse for its scenic beauty and most of track to Padam ( Zanskar Valley in J&K) and Lamayuru starts from here. Darcha is the most remote part of HP state and it remains cut off from the rest of Himachal for more than 6 to 7 months in a year. People of this area are of mongoloid stock and they are Buddhist by religion. They are hard working and peace loving.
