The trail passes through many fallen redwood trees.­ Trunks have been cut-off by the forest service, otherwise it would be quite hard to cross over those huge trunks.­

Redwood trees often fall naturally, when they grow so high and so heavy that their roots are not able of supporting them, or the ground is not stable enough.­
