- Tiết canh (raw blood soup).

- Road construction in Vietnam.

- Spaying a piglet.

- A photo-documentary about eating dog meat for dinner: "Thịt chó" means eating a (hot) dog - literally). But be advised that those are very GRAPHIC photos and not advised for children.

Photos of people from the "Mien Yao/Dao" tribe (Vietnam).

Thanks to Pamela A Cross from www.tribaltextiles.info for her help in identifying this tribe.

Pamela A Cross wrote: The style of headdress, plucked eyebrows and plucked forehead, the rectangular silver plaque with stars below the neck (and the style of chain), and the trousers or pants they appear to be wearing, all suggest that they are they are Mien Yao/Dao. The tunic embroidery although very garish is typically Mien Yao.

Photos from of my 30-day trip around Vietnam in November 2005.
