Typical scene in one of the many "bucket bars" in Vang Vieng. In those bars located on the island, local drinks are served in small plastic buckets, and you can get about one quart of cocktail for the equivalent of about $1. They usually serve "Lao Whisky" (a local rice schnaps, a bit better than lao-lao) mixed with thai red-bull. It's hard to resist, even if the hangover is guaranteed after a few buckets.
