gober - cow dung drying in indian village

Cow dung drying in a village (India)

In rural India, dried cow dung is used as fuel and as building material. Cow dung is also called gober.

I saw this on an Indian website: "Anyone who has eaten chapaties (flat bread) cooked on a gober fire can testify how this fuel enhances their taste".

This photo is part of a series that I took in a small rural Indian village. For more info about this village and to view the other photos of this village, go to the photo album.
