Tires Dumped at Tire Beach aka Toxic Beach or Kafka Beach - Pollution (San Francisco)

Looks much better in large size.

This nice beach belongs to San Francisco's "Warm Water Cove Park" (see exact location on google maps).

Here, the bay water is warm because it comes off the steam turbines of the nearby Potrero Power Plant (currently not operating, though, because its air pollution levels are above the authorized limits).

Apparently for years this beach has been used as an illegal tire dump, but this is only visible at low tide.

Check my other photos of San Francisco's abandoned industrial area.
