krishna - hindu god sculpture with five headed naga snake

krishna - hindu god sculpture with five headed naga snake, ananta sesha, ashram, brahma, deities, gods, hare krishna, hindu pilgrimage, hinduism, india, iskcon, kitch, laxmi devi, laxmi-narayana, maha kumbh mela, naga snake, purple, sculptures, statues, vishnu

One of the very kitch Hindu God sculptures at the ISKCON (Hare Krishna) Ashram at Kumbh Mela 2013. The purple deity is Krishna in His four-handed (Vishnu) form.

This is Laxmi-Narayana, Krishna in his four-armed form as Lord Vishnu with Laxmi Devi, lying on Ananta Sesha, with Lord Brahma having emerged from the lotus flower from his navel.

Those metal sculptures were mechanically animated, like low-tech animatronics.

Photo taken at the Kumbh Mela 2013 festival near Allahabad (India)

Kumbh Mela is the largest festival on Earth, taking place once every 12 years, with more than 50 million Hindu pilgrims gathering to pray and bathe in the holy Ganges river.
