Boat crew takes advantage of being docked to maintain and repaint their ships, as those beautiful traditional boat are their life's pride.

"Palaeka Juara" traditional pinisi (aka Bugis schooner) at the Surabaya harbor (Java Island, Indonesia).

The pinisi or phinisi is a traditional Indonesian two-masted wooden sailing ship, mostly built by the master shipbuilders of Ara, a village in South Sulawesi.

Now most of them are motorized, and they are still used widely by the Buginese and Makassarese, mostly for inter-insular transportation, cargo and fishing purposes within Indonesian archipelago.
