Via Ferrata Tridentina, Dolomites Mountains (Italian Alps).

The Via Ferrata clims the almost vertical cliff just behind the Pisciadù waterfall on this photo, and it reaches a small footbridge close to the top of the knob. If you zoom-in on the high-resolution version this photo, you can see several climbers ascending the route.

The climbing route involves ascending more than 2,500 feet (750m) of almost vertical cliff, equipped with cables and occasional metal ladders or steps.

Via Ferratas are climbing routes permanently equipped with a safety cable. For more info about via ferrata, go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Via_ferrata.
